I liked the original, had a good few belly lol moments, now the sequal i absolutely hated with a passion, the characters were so nasty, not a good word to say about any of them, only one i liked was the father of the bride (because he had the sense to hate the moron for a son in law), until the end when he accepted son in law!! spoilers following

They take the underage brother and get him wrecked, before this we find he is at medical school, going to be a surgeon and is an accomplished musician, when they wake up in bangkok they find a cock pointing out and the kids finger!! The groom to be is f***ed up the ass by a lady boy (even a joke at the wedding about him being full of seamen) pictures of said cock at end of movie, but at least he and the lady boy came together :(, and at the end after his son loses a finger, his daughter marries a complete tosser (in more ways than one) and finds out hes been with someone else (male or female or both) doesnt seem to mind ??? Very weird indeed for me and one I didnt see being in quite so bad taste.....oh and unlike the 1st, not even remotely funny.

Well the first one to me was as laugh out loud as smashing yer face on a glass partition you didn`t see then thinking it was funny.

It was crap.. so I assumed the sequel would be crap and had no interest in it but after reading your review above it seems I made the right decision for once :D

Firstly, why not put the spoilers in spoiler tags? (Regardless of the subject line).
Secondly, I didn`t think it was any different to the first movie, just more of the same humour. I found it amusing, but the first one was more funny (given I didn`t know what to expect).

They were always going to try and make it more shocking, in an attempt to make it funnier, since the plot line was so similar to the first one.

I`m with Miles on this one, I don`t think in terms of the first one it was more different than the first one.

It did go a bit too OTT with some of the stuff.

Re: The characters not having redeemable features compared to the first one.

Stu cheated on his missus in the first one. You seem massively offended that it`s with a ladyboy the second time, but does it really make a difference from a moral point of view???

Your morals seem more bothered that he`s had sex with a man, rather than cheating on his missus.

Otherwise what did they do this time that was that much more morally outrageous than the others ones.

The offensive thing, yes i do think its a whole lot different cheating with a woman, especially in a movie which will i would imagine have loads of couples there? But the most offensive thing for me was that they basically insulted our intelligence with the father, i mean he hates him because hes a dentist, not thai, and not to their class as far as i can tell, his son is his life and these guys get him so messed up (by drugging him and then getting him wasted with more drugs and alchohol) that he cuts off his own finger, the guy he hates is one of the guys responsible for that and then he finds out he cheated on his daughter the night b4 the wedding, whether or not its a guy or a ladyboy (although for me i would say its definitely worse with a ladyboy) and not only doesnt he seem to care but actually seems to welcome him to the family??? duh....

I watched hall pass, similar vein to this i would guess but much more to my liking as the people in it werent actually setting out to be arseholes or hurt each other intentionally but trying to relive their youth and/or rekindle their passion in dull marriages.

A few (important) words for you... It`s not real, it`s just a story!

I`m really pleased I turned down a bunch of mates who went to see this and saw Kung Fu Panda 2 with the Mrs.
