Has anyone got any news on the release date of the Ealing comedies

I hope this hasn`t been asked before I can`t get the search function to function. The Ealing comedies,at least several of them were due to be released last July. Since then nothing - does anyone know when they will be released and why they weren`t?

One of them Kind Hearts and Coronets was released last summer (as I got a copy) by Canal Plus (through Warner Bros).
However have looked at the Blackstar site as this lists all videos & DVDs released, and this states it was withdrawn in Sept 2001. Also was extremely suprised that this is now viewed as highly collectible and they want £27.99 for it secondhand (was £12.99 new !)

However if you can play R1 Anchor Bay in the US are releasing an Alex Guiness collection by June 2002 (however given the problems they are having with their Carry On releases which are also Canal Plus titles it may be delayed) of
Kind Hearts & Coronets
Ladykillers
Lavender Hill Mob
Man in White Suit
also boxset of above with exclusive Captain`s Paradise as well

Thanks for the information malcy. I can play region 1 but not RCE. I am surprised they are not out and also the early Peter Sellers comedies such as I`m All Right Jack and Heavens Above.

The Peter Sellers titles are also being released by Anchor Bay but later in 2002. See http://www.anchorbayentertainment.com/future/
for details.

As usual the US gets UK titles or better ones before us.
