Swordfish - Worth Buying?

Ant-dvds (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 26th January 2002, 14:43

Anyone seen this film?

Apart from the halle berry scenes is this film worth buying, is the story, action scenes etc any good?.

It looks like a good film but I havent heard any rave reviews about it.
Is it something you would watch more than once or worth just getting on a rental?

TIA

Hi,
Its not too bad, great soundtrack by Paul Oakenfold, action scenes are quite good, VERY strange ending tho....... only worth buying if get it cheap enough, I`d probably advise rent it 1st.

Hey,
Talking of action scenes though, the beginning (sort of) scene was great. With the ball berings and stuff.
Nothing new of course, but it looked cool.

It`s got some great action scenes and has a very stylised look to it. The story, as with a lot of action movies, tends to be somewhat shallow. But it is good entertainment for 90 mins, fantastic sound/soundtrack too.

Commentary track is quite good also, and the Australian version has the Rove Live interview with Travolta/Jackman which I thought was good.

End of the day, it`s a Joel Silver action movie that provides good fun. I`ve watched it three times already since Christmas Day!

Your all forgetting about the unusual car in this unusual film.

I loved it. OK so breaking 512 bit encyption code in minutes is a bit of a joke , hey it`s still a good film.

I was going to order R1 for approx £11 but if it helps if you need to get rid of a copy (i.e. no point in having 2 if you don`t need them). I`ll buy one from you.
Assuming the disc is ok etc.
