KURO OBI ( Black Belt )

AndyUpton (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 8th August 2008, 16:17

Does anyone have any news ( release date etc ) for this Karate film ?
Set in the 1930`s in Japan, it centres around three Karate-ka who each aspire to receive the "Kuro Obi" (Black Belt) that can only go to the rightful successor of the recently departed dojo master.
It stars Tatsuya Naka who is a real life Japan Karate Association instructor.

If you can spin multi-region discs, it`s just been released in Australia.

DVD Devoted have it. I`ve used them and they`re fast and reliable.

Region 2, well there is the Japanese release from YesAsia

But there`s no mention of English subtitles.

Jit, it`s a blatant PR guy not doing his job properly, I`m sure of it. ;)

He`s posted elsewhere so benefit of the doubt eh!

But just in case. Import it, import it whereever you can. Don`t bother with the UK release, it`s bound to be underspecced, wrong aspect ratio, and crap! :p
