Where can I buy Region 0 DVD`s?

Vittellus (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 9th January 2002, 21:11

Can anyone suggest to me a reliable site whre I can buy good value region 0 DVD`s. I have already bought titles from Play 247 for region 1 & 2 dvd`s, but would like to buy Spartacus on region 0 for the extras. I have been on DVD Comparisons and they show many regions and Spartacus suggests a region 0 as a 2 disc set.

many thanks,

A lot of DVDs marked up as region 1 on web-sites like play are Region 0, you`ve just got to know which DVD are region 0 in the first place.

eg every site I`ve come across mark up Troma DVDs as R1 but Troma don`t use coding so they can export DVDs all around the world.

You`ll find most indy DVD firms use this practice.

Many Criterion discs are region 0, but some are coded for region 1 at the request of the studios - The Rock is one example. Best to check for reviews of the disc as these usually tell you exactly what region a disc is.
