For those of us of a certain age, the dubbed version of Robinson Crusoe was a part of TV during the summer holidays.
Great theme tune as well.
Now it`s finally coming out on dvd and I`ll be able to see if the memory was playing tricks all those years.. and to watch the series end at last, because it always finished after we`d gone back to school in this part of the country. :)
(Anyone under 40, this means nothing to you, I know.)
RE: Adventures of Robinson Crusoe
I got this classic on the 1997 VHS releases and have had to put up with those transferred to dvd for years so it will be nice to finally get a proper dvd of it.
What will be really interesting will be the quality.
The masters used for the tapes were a bit ropey but I would be surprised if any restoration has been done ,but here`s hoping.
The more recent re-release of the cd soundtrack was superb.
Ironically the most memorable thing about the show was the music ,and this was written specially for the English version.
The original foreign version has totally different music
Here`s the theme, it`s a bit short. :(
& here`s "poor Robinson".
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.
I hate answering the phone at work - It disturbs my sleep.
