I am experiencing playback problems with the above disc. The picture "jumps" and "skips" now and again - always at the same points (chapters 13 and 28 especially - chapter 28 being the point where the spaceship`s engines are used to blow up the attacking apes), so I don`t think it can be my hardware. I am using a Hitachi DV-P250E(UK) machine that was made multi-region capable. The player has not been "chipped", but was modified using a CD. Another problem with the disc is lip-sync related, but only when playing back with DTS soundtrack. I have experienced such problems with other DTS soundtracks, too - but not all DTS soundtracks. One such disc being "Absolutely Live - George Benson", a region 2 disc. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

Do you have the TV System setting in your players setup menu set to "Auto" ?
My Whafedale was a bit jumpy with R1 discs as it came set as "PAL" but setting it to "Auto" fixed this.
-either that or you have a dodgy disc.
