Toy Story Box Set - R1 or R2?

The Shenk-man (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 24th October 2001, 13:38

Sorry if this thread is old subject matter...

I want to get the Toy Story 3 disc set but am not sure which region to get - I hear the R1 is better value. I also hear that the Wharfedale 750 has problems with the Toy Story box set - is this with R1 or R2 - or both?

Can anyone confirm if it will work on the 750 and, if so, which is the better purchase?

Thanks.

Shenk-man.

Can`t help on the 750 query, but I just bought the 2 disc set (couldn`t justify the extra wonga), R1 from Play, £17.99 - flippin` bargain. The 3 disc set is £37.99 at play. I was going to go for it Region4, but it seems to have gone out of print over there - I think ezydvd.com.au are still doing the 3 disc at £29 or there abouts - see http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/ToyStory2.asp for more info on the R4 version.

Hope that helps!

An excellent choice of film.
I don`t know if it works on the 750 but the 3 disc R1 version is better as it has commentaries which are lacking in its R2 counterpart. I believe all other extras are the same.

I have the R2 box set and a Wharfedale 750 and no the third disc does not work I have to watch it on my PC as it doesn`t even work on my PS2.

I only got the R2 version cause...ahem my mate sold it to me for £15.

Get the R1 version if you just want the films I swear I saw it for £17.99 on Play247.
