See it here. Just a mish mash of images really. Can`t say I`m anyway near as excited as I used be about a new Kevin Smith flick. And it`s sad he`s gone crawling back to Jay and Silent Bob etc. after just one movie failure - Jersey Girl - away from them.

Kev wrote C2:HC as a promise to Jason mewes if he`d finally get his ass off the drugs, which he did.

Not sad at all. it`s a formula that`s worked for him for ages, and `crawling back`? He never left J&SB and never will

Completely agree Stantz. Can`t wait to see if myself even though the trailer is one of the worst I have ever seen.

Kevin Smith himself said J&SBSB was to be the last episode in the Jersey Trilogy and act as a farewell to the characters of J&SB (on film, at least)
He changed his mind, obviously. Probably after he saw the first cut of Jersey Girl.

Dunno why people hate Jersey Girl so much. I`ve seen far worse (Mallrats for a start). Apparently one of the other reasons he went back tot he characters is because he enjoyed working on the 10th Anniversary of Clerks a lot. Whatever the reason, I`ll reserve judgement until I`ve seen it.
RE: Clerks 2 teaser trailer up
Don`t get me wrong re my first post - I like J&SB too - I even enjoyed the panned J&SB Strike Back to a certain extent. Jersey Girl was OK too - but it received a panning from the critics and Smith`s fanbase.
I was just reading an article Smith wrote just before JG came out about how happy he was with the film, and that he was pleased to have closed the book on the J&SB `Askewniverse`. Now it could look like he`s gone back on all that following pressure from his fans. But who knows, he obviously has a great time making J&SB flicks, and if it`s a reward for Mewes (very funny guy) then that`s great too.
RE: Clerks 2 teaser trailer up
I didn`t mind Jersey Girl either. Thought it was a thoroughly decent rom-com. And I never actually thought Kevin Smith said he`d never go back to the J&SB characters, but he was simply giving them a rest. Plus as Stantz said, he`d promised Mewes another film if he could quit the drugs.

I think the trailer looks good, and usually I can`t get enough of Jay and Silent Bob.. Mallrats is the shiznit, as they say outside my local kebab shop... But, I just wanted to mention, jay and silent bob do degrassi or whatever it is.. pure She-ite!

What I did find disappointing was Smith`s comments on one of the recent Q&A sessions for the 10th Anniversary DVDs (forget if it was Clerks or Mallrats). In that, he said that the worst film he made was Jersey Girl. Now I remember him being very happy with what he called `a very personal film`, and defending it from all the criticism it (undeservedly) received. It`s a shame that he`s let the negative comments affect him to the point where he does a bit of George Lucas inspired revisionist history (acting like he always hated it).

Well my personal favourite would be "J&SB Strike Back", and then Mallrats and then Clerks. I don`t actually like Chasing Amy that much; Joey Lauren Adams completely ruins it with her whiney voice. So for me, thats the worst.
Smith saying that Jersey Girl is his worst doesn`t necessarily mean that he thinks its a bad film, but more likely that in order of what he is happiest with in comparison to his other efforts, it comes last. During the making of it though he was expressing how it was the best thing he`d ever done. :/
For one, Jersey Girl is probably has the best cinematography out of all his films (not saying much, I know).
