The wife and i were chatting about tv programmes and she brought "this so called life",which she then hinted that she would love this on dvd.

I`ve looked everywhere for this series on dvd and i can`t find it for less than $150 plus international postage to the uk :( .

Don`t worry i`ve found it on e-bay

There is a long dark history behind this DVD set.

The wife has the Limited edition Metal Lunchbox with the extras DVD too.

We got it about 3 years ago.. after a LOT of hassle.

read all about the fiasco.. here

There are rumblings that there will be a re-release of this superlative title by Buena Vista (who now own the rights) within about a year. But nothing has been confirmed.

Note, all the usual ones on eBay are burned copies. The genuine set was in production for only 5 months, 3 years ago.... so if you want that you`d have to pay a serious premium.

All the best.

Oh knackers, I was umm`ing and ahhh`ing about getting the set a couple of years ago, for what now looks a very reasonable price, but didn`t due to the other 15 odd DVDs I`d ordered that week.

Ho hum, you win some......

Jonpy - comiserations my friend. Don`t worry too much though, I`m sure within a few years at the most it will be available again. I doubt you`d be missing much with a burned set as the box-set is pretty awfully and unoriginally designed.... the only good thing about it is that it`s very sturdy simply because there is a different single-amary case for every disk.

I guess it`s quite fitting that one of the most unique and short-lived TV shows should end up being one of the rarest DVD sets there is.
