Looking for Predator, but which version. Should I buy the R1 DTS version or stick with the cheaper R2/R4. Also does anyone know of any cuts to any of these versions. Plus can anyone clear up wether or not Predator 2 has 5.1 sound or not. Play 247 don`t know.

From what i`ve read.... you should get Predator DTS R1 as its uncut and Anamorphic..... don`t buy R2/R4 as they are cut.....
and for Predator 2 buy R4 as it is uncut (R1 is cut) and you can buy it separately.... unlike in Britain
but not sure about the DD5.1 sound on P2 though

were did it say its been cut on r2/4 ???? there`s no mention of cuts in this months dvd review mag.... I hope not ive ordered the box set.. what are the cuts supposed to be ???

If you have a look through previous threads scattered around here or over on TheDVDForums.com it list all the cuts... particularly the Stick Around line from Arnie and the shot of Dylons arms falling off while still firing the gun.....
I also waited ages to get the boxed set only to find out its cut, thats why i`m getting the R1 DTS version and the R4 Predator 2...
and the cuts are not due the Classification Board... Fox or whoever it is, submitted the wrong version for press.... (the same version as P1 R4)....very very annoying!!!
why can`t companies get these thing right!!! eg MGM with bond (OHMSS) incorrect version submitted there...

Buy R1 Predator 5.1 or DTS uncut & Predator 2 R2 from France 5.1 only uncut. BOL.COM.FR around £22. must be able to read French. You can practise navigating the British site first as it is identical. For accurate info on cuts made to films try the MPAA site, better site than the BBFC a lot more accurate i.e. info on Hard Target. R4 Predator 2 is edited.
