Page 1 of SHREK 2 Region 3 HELP

Just got mine from CDWOW. How do you enter this on DVD Profiler?

use the discid. easiest way is to get the r1 data, download it. double click to allow change of data, and update extras, subs etc etc. enter the disc into drive and find out its discid. copy that into notepad and add capital i infront. copy this into your buffer. click out of the main data entry page. don`t send updated profile yet. go to file>change upc. paste the disc id. it will now recognise the disc according to disc id instead of upc code. now send updated data.

or you could read the actual user`s guide (do a search for `no upc? entering dvd according to disc id` or words to that effect.)

Did your R3 Shrek 2 come in a box/sleeve thing? or was it just a normal box? Cause i want to get a shrek 2 that will line up with my shrek 3 disc boxset, but i dont wana pay the rip off price for the R2 version.

I got my Region 3 copy today and there isnt any slipcase, just the 2 discs in a standard DVD case but for £11.24 I am not complaining.

I might order it for the Mrs. I can get £2.50 off, so it`s not a bad deal. Can you confirm the specs at all? Does it have widescreen and pan & scan versions and DD 5.1 audio? Also, I`m curious as to whether it has the Far Away Idol thing. It sounds crap, but you never know...

widescreen only.

dolby dig 5.1 in english and three eastern lingos. subs in english.

has special features. to be honest i am not sure it is genuine - the cover looks up cheap photocopy standard. plus photo does not tally with dvdprofiler database.

spoke to dreamworks - suggested i speak to guys in hong kong and indonesia about it. emailing them. will let you know.

It will be genuine. CD-Wow don`t sell copies. The profiler image probably came from another region as I doubt anyone would have posted it this quickly. R3 packaging often isn`t as good. I have the R3 Phantom Menace, and the cover is oversized and the quality isn`t as good as the R2 (although the colour is closer to the R1 Attack of the Clones disc).

the region 3 in dvdprofiler is from hong kong. this version has a lot of audio tracks so i am thinking it is indonesian region 3. no clue.

I got the R3 today. The cover and box seem ok to me, the discs look, well, not great but then some of my R4 DVDs don`t look great either. But the picture quality and everything else is brilliant :)

The extras are identical to the 2 Disc Region 2 release its just you get a few more audio tracks for the film and the unaltered version of the film.
