Just a quick question.. in the boxset .. are the films in invidual amary`s so the spines match with Episodes 1 and 2 or is it some rubbish `Special Edition` packaging?

they match but episodes 4 -6 have silver writing compared to the gold on 1 + 2

Well i got Starwars trilogy dvd for the mistaken price of £21.99 at Whsmiths this morning :D

First impressions.

I got mine out of MVC with a nice solid "Collector`s Box". The actual box is held inside it (which is ridiculously thin and crap), but this solid black box is really, well, solid :D

The artwork on the covers isn`t great, but who gives a f***? ;)

Just as I thought, these PAL R2 DVDs are better than the NTSC R1 DVDs. Recently, I`ve not noticed any difference with PAL/NTSC, but why is it that all the Star Wars DVDs look better on PAL than NTSC? Not complaining though, both look lovely but I`m glad I opted to buy the PAL versions :D

With each time I hear it, I`m starting to hate the change of Boba Fett`s voice... but you know, meh, I can`t change it. And the Emperor`s new dialogue in TESB is a little dodgy if you ask me, but I`m glad Ian McDiarmid changed it. But in Return of the Jedi where is the bit where Jabba shows Leia his tongue? It was disgustingly seedy and shouldn`t have been cut.

That`s me though, everything else I love about them, love them. Changes or not, these are the films I fell in love with. Lucas will forever tinker with them, and I`ll buy them all. But I`m happy. I love these films so much.

Anyway, I`m away to watch the documentary since this is the first time I`ve had my paws on the extras disc 8)
