Page 1 of DTS Volume Question
DVDs & Films Forum
I am not sure whether this happens on all DVD come Cinema systems but on my Sony DAVS 550 the volume I normally have DD on is about 15 but when I have DTS on I have to turn the volumn down because it is considerably louder, is this correct?
The simple answer is yes. I think it`s because there is less compresion on the DTS but don`t quote me on that.
It is on my system...I think (but don`t quote me also ;) ),that it`s because the bitrate/sampling rate is higher.
Cheers,
