Page 1 of Roadracers the film: Out on Dvd?
DVDs & Films Forum
OK all you film buffs out there, just been watching Roadracers on a video that I taped a couple of years ago off bbc2.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, (he of Mariachi fame), and starring David Arquette and
Salma Hayek.
Set in the 50`s and about Rock`n`Roll, Fast cars, and Teenagers rebelling.
Does anybody know if it`s out on Dvd anywhere, I`ve looked for it without any success.
Alfred and I would really like to know.
Update: Researched a bit more , seems as this was a tv movie and was also known as Rebel Highway and was made between Robert Rodriguez`s El Mariachi and Desperado films.
Still can`t find any reference to either films at the usual online sites.

RE: Roadracers the film: Out on Dvd?
Never seen the film - been trying to find it for years. Robert Rodriguez wrote a book on the making of the film called:
"Roadracers": the Making of a Degenerate Hot Rod Flick.
Published by Faber.
It`s not as good as "Rebel without a crew" - a lot shorter, but still in diary style - and still interesting.
If you have any luck finding the movie, give me a shout.

RE: Roadracers the film: Out on Dvd?
I saw this on Sky movies a few years back. Its not a particularly great picture but its interesting in following Robert Rodriguez work. This was the first film he made with an actual crew, and a union crew at that. His diary from Faber is better than the film I thought.
