when may was put forward as a possible date for the 2 disk set i hoped the ee would be earlier than fotr and ttt, but what ive read, as you say, seems to still suggest november.

i dont see the point in this, the last 2 years it worked out very well, with films hitting the cinemas weeks after the dvds this year there isnt a film so whats the point of waiting till november, especially know that the tc is out in may, doesnt make any sense to me.

Maybe the EE needs that time so Weta can finish off the special effects!

I just thought that. ROTK: EE is probably an hour longer than the TC, so more SFX shots to do.

Don`t matter much, just means the TC will get more spins in my DVD player :D

your probably right, pj did say last week that although he has finished the film, and i think the extended score has been done too, weta have around 350 shots to do.

i dont know much about these things but surely they have been working on them for a while and its still only march, so maybe it wont be november. maybe they could use the august slot that has been used for the theatrical cuts if this ee is finished.

ill check out the 2disker but its that ee that most people want, so fingers crossed its before november.

I`m still considering whether to get the TCs of the first two, and indeed ROTK, as I already own the EEs.

Suprised it isn`t out sooner, considering the DVD is already `circulating` the web at the moment. In fact, I might just watch it tonight... ;)

I`ve just got the 2CD DivX Ste, I haven`t bothered with DVD-R as I`ve got too many other things coming down the Mule at the mo. (about 30+ files)
