Page 1 of Dialog track mixed way too low on Raiders DVD?

I watched Raiders on Christmas day and found that the dialoge track to be mixed very low compared to the sound effects and music tracks. I was struggling at points to hear my favourite bits of dialog over the racket. I have a Cyberhome DVD player connected to my tv with a scart so cannot adjust the individual soundtracks. Has anyone found this problem or did I get a dodgy box? (Haven`t checked the other two movies yet.)

i would like to know the answer to this too but in a more general way as many dvds of modern films seem to have this problem

Found no problem here, and thought it was the best remastering of sound and vision I have seen on DVD.

but does anyone know why on dvds of modern movies dialogue can often sound very faint in comparison to music and sound effects? i have a ventura home cinema 5.1 sound system and was wondering am i doing anything wrong that would cause this?

I assume the equipment and/or amplifier has a set-up test tone. You run this?

If you have an Amplifier, just turn up "Centre Speaker" volume and that should help.

As for those without an Amp, does your DVD Player have any sound options?
They usually have an option to boost the dialogue.

I was going to ask about this a while ago, i happens on quite a few DVDs.......the front center speaker sounding weak with dialogue in a few movie`s.

You can turn up the volume but then most of the other movies that are fine are too loud, this happens mostly on my R1 movies, i have never had this problem in any R3 movies.

resident evil region 2 seems to have a very faint dioalgue track, on my vetura system my centre speaker is turned up to maximum and seems to make no difference
