Yep the DTS sound is just as good as the first dvd and the picture quality of the videos and extras is generally better on number 2, however, the overall selection of songs isn`t as compelling as GHV1. Still well worth buying...

Although the sound is excellent,I don`t think there is a track on this one to match Bohemian Rhapsody on the first volume.
The videos are a mixed bag. Some are zoomed to fill 16:9 as with vol.1,but some are presented in 4:3 with some oddities. One switches back to 4:3 from 16:9 and shows the video as it was originally, another 4:3 is shown in a 16:9 frame with side borders, but annoyingly,A Kind of Magic seems to be incorrect. It`s a 4:3 picture but its stretched to fill 16:9 ,resulting in a distorted picture.

If you enjoyed the first, then you WILL enjoy vol.2.
The sound is every bit as good as vol.1 (to me, some of the
tracks are even better - they have done an excellent job with
the surround mixes).
As phelings pointed out, the video`s are a mixed bag but the picture
quality is much better than vol.1 even though they have, once again, cropped some
of them to widescreen.
The extras are excellent though. If you like Queen, then you must get this.

I also (finally) got Queen`s A Night At The Opera on DTS/dvd audio... WOW, even if you don`t have a dedicated dvd-audo player the DTS sound is fantastic, well worth checking out. Whether you like their music or not, Queen still reign supreme in the multi-channel music department.

If you enjoyed ANATO, then get The Game dvd-audio.
The dts sound on that album is even better again!

I was going to invest in The Game but to be honest 4 of the songs are on the Greatest Hits Vol 1 dvd... mmmm I`m quite tempted now though. Do you guys have dedicated dvd-audio players and, if so, how does the sound quality compare to the DTS tracks?

hang on guy`s,all these options ,i`ll have to buy all of them now, back in the seventies i had all the Queen albums but gave them away to my brother-in-law and he no longer has them.
Very daft really giving them away,i will have to get A Night at the Opera, but can you also get Sheer Heart Attack album on DTS, i have not heard Brighton Rock for a long, long time and bet that would sound awesome on DTS.

handsome.b.wonderful, the dvd-audio version of ANATO does
sound a lot better than the dts track BUT the dts track on The Game
sounds better to me (and others I might add) than the dvd-audio track.
Regarding the 4 tracks from The Game that are already on Hits 1,
they have spent a bit more time doing the surround mixes for the
dvd-audio disc and it shows. For a start, they are full 5.1 mixes instead
of the 4.1 versions on Hits 1 - the centre channel isn`t utilised on most of
the tracks on Hits 1 ( and none of the tracks use the centre channel on
Hits 2 although they still sound great), the sound quality of the dts
track is better and the surround channels are more pronounced.
The opening 3 tracks on The Game (The Game, Another one bite`s the dust
and Dragon Attack) have to be heared to be beleived - they are that good and
of all the dvd-audio discs I have, this is the one that I use to impress all my mates.
If you get The Game and do a back to back comparison with the same tracks on
Hits 1 you`ll see what I mean.
denon,
Sheer heart attack isn`t available with a dts track yet.
