Page 1 of Scarface - Now Deleted !!!!!!

Just rung Virgin Megastore in oxford street to get hold of Scarface and to my amazement they had none in stock and it was deleted !!!! :(

Then contacted HMV trocodero who told me they had 12 in stock :D but once they sell them they wont be getting anymore as it is now deleted & is not on file for Re-release.

So if this classic is missing from your collection on R2 I would get it while you can guys

PS: Does anybody know anythig about a re-release on R2 ?

It does sound like they will re-release it on Region 2 at a vastly inflated price and add the moniker `special edition` to it`s title.
I`ve got region 2 Scarface and the sound on it is Dolby Surround - I think I`m right in thinking that the new R1 release has Dolby Digital 5.1 sound so it`s likely they`ll be releasing the new remastered(expensive) version in the UK. :)

Yes, an SE will be turning up on our shores shortly. The R1 is arriving in 2 versions - standard SE and also in a gift-set, which I believe contains the original 1932 version.

The original R1/2 rlease of Scareface wasn`t a very good transfer - hopefully the new `Special` Edition will solve this, so I wouldn`t rush out and buy the older version if I were you....
