I was in Tesco a little while ago and noticed it on display too...also noticed a staff memo that said that due to other resellers breaking the release date, they were selling today!

Yea, we were delighted to pick ours up at WH Smith`s as well today.

Aparently the `embargo` was broken which gives everyone else the option of selling it or summat like that.

I actually think they brought it forward because of the bank holiday, I mean who the hell releases a top title on a Tuesday.

how does the whsmiths club card get you the dvd for £12? is it because you had points to redeem, or a special offer for people with a card regardless?

I got mine from Blackstar Yesterday. I watched it last night. Still fantastic and the picture quality is great, as is the Dolby 5.1 track. I think the bass on the Helm`s Deep Battle woke the neighbours :p

Also, I loved the Return of The King preview. They showed lots of footage and it looks like it could be the best. Also, I think the Extended Two Towers DVD will be ace as well. Looks like lots of good footage was added in (as with Fellowship Extended). Haven`t watched any of the other extras yet.

Got to love it :D
