DVDs & Films Forum
the BBFC have certified the theatrical cut of The Two Towers uncut.
The timings match allowing for the 4% change on transfer.
No comments on any extras, but I believe they may already have been cleared.

That`s good to hear. I know they left Fellowship alone but had wondered if the BBFC (in all their misjudgement and unpredictability) would trim the headbutt.
Shenk.
I forgot that the cinema release was cut. I have just taken the plunge FOTR-wise - selling my theatrical cut, with my extended edition arriving tomorrow hopefully from Play. So now, I have to wait until bleedin` November to get my paws on TTT! Grr...

"I forgot that the cinema release was cut"
What was cut?
It`s not the Theatrical Version I`m worried about, it`s the Extended Edition. If it doesn`t pass for a 12, then it will be cut under the BBFC`s rule of "the same film not allowed to have two different ratings".
If so, I`ll just have to buy the Australian version ;-)

Neither have been cut - thus far.
That`s what I thought. I wonder what Rik was thinking about.

I thought a headbutt was cut?!

Nope, the headbutt is there in ALL its glory, just as it was in the cinema release with a PG rating. But yet, in AOTC, they thought a headbutt too harsh for THAT film, another PG rated flick.
F*** the BBFC, f*** them up their stupid asses.
