Page 1 of Amadeus: Director`s Cut - R4?

There`s a relatively recently released director`s cut of Amadeus that is now available. And it doesn`t seem to be listed on this site.

It has an Audio Commentary and a Making-Of Documentary.

But what I really need to know is:

Is the UK release of this new edition a R2/R4 disc as many other Warner titles are? I live in Australia, you see, and I have an Amazon UK gift voucher (long story), so I`m going to need a disc that plays on region 4 players.

Anyone out there know about this?

I think this is the one you`re after, which, if this chap is correct, looks as if it`s R 2 & 4. I have the R2 at home, so if you want to wait before ordering I`ll make sure.

I thought all DVD players in Australia were Multi Region.

nah..you`re thinking about kangaroos.

anyway, I`m home, and the DVD says R2. No mention of R4, but that may not mean much. The Oz release definitely says R2/4 though.

I just set my machine to R4 and I get a region error, so looks like you`re out of luck.

Just checked my Australian copy of Amadeua and it is encoded for R2/R4

Yeah, I know. But, rather frustratingly, it seems the UK release is exactly the same disc but only encoded for R2.

So, it looks as though I`ll need to look for something else that is R2/R4 in the UK. Anyone?
