Page 1 of A & B Sound Any Good?

A & B Sound in Canada seem to be the cheapest place to import DVD`s I`ve found. But after reading their conditions of shipment I was womdering if they are actually better?

A few pharses which seem worrying such as:

"The exchange rate is determined by your credit card company" so does anyone use HSBC Mastercard? Wat r their rates like for Canadian $`s to GBP?

"Your local goverment/customs may also charge for the shipment" Has anyone imported from A&B and been charged by customs for it?

"Shipping time - 2-8 weeks" How long do they normally take?

Anyone whos used A&B please help as their are some tempting offers on @ the mo, Gladiator 9 quidish & P&P(according to the xe.net currency converter)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of these offers seem to good to be true, or are they actually that cheap? I want to order ASAP b4 the prices change.

I havent tried them, but ive heard some good things about them!!

Average shipping to the uk takes 5-10 DAYS!! And they are supposedly very reliable!!

I am trying them once i get a shot of my dads credit card!!

I used my Clydesdale Mastercard.I don`t think they charged any extra.

About 10 days,they give you a status page which lets you know when it has been posted.For some strange reason it took about six days from ordering it for them to send it out and they were in stock, they arrived four or five days later.The status page is quite good,It still has my details of Stuart Little which i bought back in june and how much i paid.

This may or may not help, i have been to A&B Sounds on numerous occasions whilst on holiday there and they are one of the best shops of this type i have been into.Over the years i have been going they have got better and better, its not only dvds that are cheap check out the cd prices.Unlike places like HMV the listening posts comprise of top quality hi-fi seprates and the staff are very keen to help,knowledgable with it to.
