Anyone know if THAT headbutt is going to be on the Region 2 "Attack Of The Clones" disc?
If not I`m going for the Region 1.
God I hate the BBFC!

On a related note, here`s an amusing story about the British Board for F***ing up Cinema -
http://www.empireonline.co.uk/news/news.asp?4072a -
I went to see AOTC on the night prior to general release at The Filmworks in Greenwich, and the headbutt was left in and again when I saw it again the following Saturday so I`ve never seen a version with the cut.
Matrix had a headbutt cut too right?
Whats so bad about headbutts?
They hurt!?!
;-)
Nick
So does getting shot/stabbed/disembowelled/burnt alive/eaten alive and stabbed in the face with an ice-pick!
But we`re allowed to see them!

Also, just to further illustrate the total stupidity of the BBFC, the headbutt was actually shown on a TV spot on British TV just before the film`s release.
Apparently the context that the headbut is done could be copied in the playground and obviously shooting etc cannot.
Its an insult to children to suggest that they do not know where to draw the line. When i was a kid i knew not to headbut people even if i saw it on tv!!!
The headbutt being cut from the cinema feature doesn`t necessarily mean it`s cut from the DVD. The Mummy was cut in the cinema yet the DVD was uncut. Still it looks like the UK DVD will be cut: Jango Head Butt Cut From UK DVD

British fans (with Region 2 DVD players) hoping to see an uncut version of AOTC on DVD will be disappointed. The head butting scene will not be present on the UK DVD when it`s released on November 11th. Here`s what Ros Bates, the Senior Examiner at the BBFC (British Board Of Film Classification) had to say to Ed on why head butting in LOTR is OK, but not in Clones:
With respect, the head butt in "The Lord of the Rings" is different from the one in "Star Wars..Clones." The former work does not invite imitation by young children -they don`t play hobbits in the playground. On the other hand, they do play Star Wars games in the playground, and that`s why we took the precaution of removing the head butt at the distributor`s request - the distributor was free to allow the head butt to remain for a 12, but chose not to. "Clones" featured recognisable humans in the head butt scene - "LR" deals in mythical creatures in Middle Earth.
The head butt will not be present in the DVD as we do not allow cut material to reappear in the DVD package, on the grounds that this would constitute "forbidden fruit" for children. We always consider the context of any head butt - which explains why these two examples were treated differently each work is treated on its merits.
