Page 1 of SLEEPING BEAUTY - WIDESCREEN (DVD)

Have been searching for a long time trying to locate a source which stocks/sells the Disney Version of Sleeping Beauty (DVD) Widescreen. Understand a version does exist in Widescreen. Appreciate any help you can give - thanks

Ok a bit of searching and it looks like the German release is in widescreen. Details of the releases are here.

I`ve never used them but found this using http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk and according to that the price is £22.49 + £1.29 p&p

As of today two Wide screen DVD releases of Disney’s sleeping beauty exists:
One German, one French. Both are 2DVD special editions both are in Wide screen (anamorphic 2.35:1 ) and both also contain audio in English 5.1 D.D. Both are of course Region 2

An American release is rumoured for 2003 though this is not confirmed.

Both of the R2 releases seem to be great and with lots of extra material.
I have bought the German one from amazon.de.

If you are prepared to wait this is eventually being released in the UK around October / November this year, just after the Beauty & the Beast Platinum release.
Will be cheaper as max rrp would be £24.99 so £17.99 at Play

Also from reviews of the French version in that although you get an English track for the film with no locked in French subs, the documentaries on disk 2 are over dubbed in French so you can`t hear the English and the text features are obviously all in French.
