Starting today, HMV are doing BOGOF on £12.99 Warner & EV dvds.

Unfortunately, the guy putting them out was so slow I only managed to pick up Scarface & Heat `cos I had to get back to the car!!

Another trip into town, methinks!!

That`s a good deal if it`s right, but HMV`s usual BOGOF deals are normally a joke, as they price almost everything at £19.99!!! I mean, look at their website, they include movies like "Blade" at £19.99. and yet the RRP of this is only about £9.99!! I don`t know how they get away with it??!!

I know what you mean! But this is spot on.
All the £12.99 dvds are BOGOF. I hope my credit card can take the strain next time I`m in town!!

Just got back from the HMV in stoke and the BOGOF deal is sound. Got loads (and I mean loads) of top films in the sale, like Heat, Casiono, Crouching Tiger etc.... Loads of good offers, got me 4 dvd`s for £25, so no complaints here.

They must more titles in store then they have on the site... I have noticed this before in my local store... I did not see Crouching Tiger on the site.

This is the old trick corporate stores use - charge an inflated price for something then put it back to the original price and pretend it`s 50% off! The law states that a "was price" has to have been charged for 30 consecutive days in the last six months. Look at the small print in carpet and furniture stores on their special offers and you will see that the "was price" was only charged in two or three branches.

We bought a video of Top Secret! for £6.99 from HMV

When we got home and opened it there was an inlay card with adverts for other videos by the same studio (including Top Secret) saying - "All of these for only £5,99 each".

I`ve only ever bought three things from HMV, and two of them were returned.

Seriously, this is terrific offer from HMV especially if you are into cinema classics.
I`ve just bought -
Rebel Without a Cause (restored print)
Billy Liar (the Canal Plus edition in widescreen - great transfer!)
Maltese Falcon (with 50 min. Bogart doc.)
Rio Bravo
Magnum Force (Special Edition)
Strangers on a Train (with UK and Hollywood versions of the film)

I wouldn`t have paid full price for these titles, but at £6.50 each they are a steal.

Let`s hope this is sign of even cheaper prices to come!!
