If you have a Pace Digital TV adaptor, then it`s worthwhile re-scanning for new channels.
ITV sport is now free-to-view, and I`ve just received the attached e-mail from Pace which states that FilmFour and E4 are running free-to-view !!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dear All,
Many of us are receiving calls asking whether the free-to-view services on
DTT will continue. The answer, of course, is yes.
There is a particular technical issue which has generated some misleading
press comment. It is over the running of the central SI collator which
builds SI table for cross-carriage of all SI in all mulitplexes. It
appears that the ITV Digital administrators will only support this
operation for three weeks or so, during which time it must be acquired by
another operator. The BBC are said to be attempting to buy the facility.
Meanwhile, please note that, besides the normal line-up of free-to-view
channels, the ITV Sport Channel, Film Four and E4 are currently running
unencrypted. Messages with the last two assure viewers that the two
services are available `without charge` while `the future of the pay
platform is decided`
ITN News Channel is now available free-to-view all day. QVC and TV Travel
Shop continue to broadcast.
Kind Regards,
Pace Micro Technology
The free ITV Sport thing also holds for ntl subscribers too, incidentally : useful for any Birmingham/Millwall fans wanting to see tonight`s game :-)
yes it does say than on ch4`s web site too, but I can get E4, but can`t seem to get film4!! Are any of you guys getting it on either on digital boxes or pace boxes?
E4 yes, Film Four no :-(
I tried to find E4 and FilmFour last night and couldn`t find either.
I`ll try again during the daytime when they normally broadcast their free-to-view previews.
I`m using my old Pioneer "onDigital" box and can pick up e4 and FilmFour still....
Can anyone explain how to `re-scan` on a Pace box. Is there some clever key combo?
Press menu on the remote control ...
select "channels" option and then "re-scan for channels"
