100 HK dollars inc postage, works out at around £9.00. Checked the R1 sites and I don`t think it`s out in the States for a month or 2.

Non-anamorphic 1:85 pic DTS 5.1 and DD 2.0 Chinese subs R3 coding Single layer DVD 5 disc
DTS track is interesting but I for one will certainly be waiting for the SE release in R1 instead

bought a couple of dvd`s from there and you can choose wether to have the subtitles on or off. You don`t normally get any extras on the dddhouse releases, so it`s a choice between £9.00 with no extras or £15 in a couple of months with a ton of extras!

Anyone ever seen a DVD that didn`t have removable subtitles?

In my defence Clunesy, I have heard (on this forum) that some discs form DDDHouse and some Danish discs (form DVDOO) have subtitles in the local language taht aren`t removable.

I have bought "the others" & plenty more DVD`s from this site & ALL subtitles are removable.
What the problem is, is sometimes when using "instant play" the movie will play with subtitles that arnt removable, however, if you stop the film & chose to play it via the menu then the subtitles will disappear

Lee, I`m thinking about ordering The Others, what`s the picture and sound quality like ?? Is this an Official release?, I know you`re probably going to say "course it is" I just find it hard to believe it was released in Hong Kong before the US !! Thanks alot ...
