Called last night as i wanted to get a better BB deal as am currenlty paying £18 for the 2mb service, went via the cancellations dept. option on 150 and asked what the notice period was, got told 30 days and then asked the inevitable by a very friendly scottish chap, so i said my BB deal was uncompetitive in the current climate. Straight away i was offered Virgins Best Deal which was my current package unchanged all for £32.95/month for 12 months, not too shaby for XL TV (inc. Setanta), Phone (eve/wknd calls free) and 2mb BB, (it was offered to me at £30 without eve/wknd calls)
Saved myself a further £9.50/month on top of the £10.50/month i was already saving from last time i called then... :)
The chap mentioned a free speed upgrde for all users later this year when they launch their 50mb service so i didn`t push for a higher speed just yet

RE: Virgin Media Users...
i pay £40.50/month for xl bb, xl phone, xl tv but for 2 vm boxes...i have this for 12 months and importantly i also have it in writing - email and typed letter headed paper as i dont trust vm to honour their deals....been with ntl for 7 years and vm for 1 year now
also, last year vm paid me over £150 in refunds for poor service, etc (esp their appalling indian bb call centres who know f all about telecoms/computers - i do as im a freelance telco/it contractor) so my xl bb service and large phone service (didnt have tv at the time) effectively cost me less than £100 for 12 mths
vm is getting better tho after a rocky last year
