The Logik IR100 is an internet radio and audio media streaming device. Originally sold at £150 but now reduced to £39.99 at Currys (and probably PC World, it`s a DSG specific product).

Requires broadband and a wireless access point (router) to work. Uses the Reciva internet radio network so you can build a list of favourite stations on the website which is then automatically uploaded to the radio.

Currently listening to `The Breeze 93.7` in Vero Beach Florida...from North West England...cool!

Also works as an audio streaming device and supports UPnP so it`s easy to connect to Windows Media Player 11.

Great piece of kit for £40.

Hi Carolyn
Bought 2 of these a few weeks ago and all I can say is Wow :B . Forget DAB(unless you dont have wireless). Very good sound for a mono radio and as you say can save fav`s on Reciva web page.
Saw in Makro yesterday there was a Logica(I think) that can be hooked up to HiFi and ll you hav is a normal sized remote handset to control, thinking of checking it out.

PCW Exeter is £49.99 on shelf.

Currys Exeter has this for £20 more & outputs stereo. May be a better option for the audiophiles here.

Hi Carolyn

Can you easily access `listen again` stuff from the BBC with the Logick, or would you still have to find what you want first on the pc and then wirelessly send it to the radio?

Can you twiddle to what you want on the radio itself?

Hi Mike

No need to use the PC at all.

If you choose a station on the IR100 that offers `listen again` content (e.g. Radio 2), you get the option of `Live` ie listen to the station`s current output or `On Demand` which takes you to a list of all the listen again programmes you can choose from. If it`s a daily programme then you can also select which day you want.

Well I bought that as one of THO`s Christmas presents to pick up UK radio without tieing up a PC, if\when we move to Canada.

Quick to set up, detected the network without issue, halfway through the setup I realised I needed the MAC address (which wasn`t labelled to the exterior of the box) & rather than abort the laborious process of entering the WEP\WPA (Yes it does support WPA) I disabled the MAC filtering on the router until setup was complete.

I then set up the five presets to the required stations local radio (yes indeedie!!!! - Urgh) for THO then BBC Radio`s 1, 2, 4 & 7. Could do with more TBH but 5 fulfills our requirements. Would also like some easier method of selecting "Listen Again" & even nicer if that could be done from the remote.

It set the time from the internet automatically. :)

Sound is quite good from the headphone jack, I havent plugged it into a HiFi or similar yet.

As yet I haven`t got around to setting up streaming MP3`s & probably won`t.

Ultimately it does what it says on the tin & still one, if not the cheapest internet stereo radio`s about.

The stereo box is now down to £35 in my local Currys.

Tempted to buy a second one for my garage in Canada, I will when the visa arrives & they are still in stock. :/
