was in two minds about posting this after hearing of problems with the FVRT100 however posts on MSE suggests that these should come with the beefed up PSU which was the cause of many of the problems.

just been reading about this at hotukdeals.com
someone there pointed out that Netto have a new 80gb PVR from this Thursday for £60
Its a DigiFusion FVRT90, not a twin tuner, but for £15 more its new, & the hard drive is twice the size

cheers, ordered one yesterday!

for me the twin tuners is worth more, as the hard drives look incredibly easy to replace (and upgrade) in these models!

The hard drives are incredibly easy to replace or upgrade but remember 137Mb is the maximum capacity that the hardware supports. Also the case is very slim and the depth of the new drive should be less than 21mm for the top to fit back successfully. I replaced with a Maxtor (Seagate) DiamondMax 20 80GB drive successfully. In order to get the latest firmware you may have to copy across a file - both file and instructions are available online.

i`ve had a look around and there`s firmware updates a plenty (some giving the features of the FVRT200?), with different themes for the program guide.

should be fun to tinker with if nothing else!

just to update, item arrived yesterday.

menu system seems much cleaner than the other set top boxes that I`ve used, will probably start tinkering around with the HDD`s this evening!
item came boxed well, delivery was swift (2-3 day serviced used, delivered next day)

so far, would recommend

If you look on the product page there is the facility for them to email you when they get more stock. That is what I did, as they keep going in and out of stock. I got my email and my PVR. Thanks OP

BTW. they have reduced the price of the 80GB version.

Thanks for the heads up on this one folks. I have just got one following the death of a third Durabrand Freeview box from Asda in as many months.

The Digifusion has far superior sound and picture and recording quality is excellent. Easy to use too despite the somewhat garish UI. Still plenty of firmware tweaks available to sort that.

Awesome bargain!

Got one of these last week. Great bit of kit, but stopped working after 24 hours. Turn off and back on and it`s fine, but who wants that. Mine supplied with the infamous 3 amp power supply. Have sent it back and a replacement on the way. Hope I get the 5 amp which seems much better, according to reviews. Speaking of which, pretty rotten of Micro Direct to only publish the good ones - what`s the point of that?
