Page 1 of Dual DVD860 standalone DVD (DIVX \ XVid compatable) £40 from Asda

Picked up one of these on Saturday and it appears to be a new model ( I can only find reference to the dvd 859 on the web). It`s shaping up to be a cracking little player! it has played everything i have thrown at it in terms of dvd -r`s, CDR`s and CDRW`s. has played all the Xvids i have thrown at it without to much of a hitch (I had to unpack the bitstream on my episodes of lost, the main reason for buying the player).

it`s one of these mirrored front players with bluey neon buttons that are illumlated, the tray is a bit flimsy but it does the job.

it also has a compact flash / SD card slot in the front as well (i think it might be a 6 in 1, but i am at work and can`t remember the exact details)

I saw that one a few weeks back, for just over £50, so nice to see a price drop before Christmas. It does read Memory Stick cards, which means you should be able to use a Memory Stick Duo with adapter to watch your PSP movies (not UMD disks ones) either at home on the big screen or on the move.
