Some Bast**ds selling X-files boxset from HMV in Ebay

copu (Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 28th June 2001, 23:18

This really p***ed me off as I was trying to get hold of a boxset while some other just swoop everything from the useless, devalued and crap HMV stores to sell in Ebay.

I am not trying to be prejudice here. The fact is I didn`t even see a single boxset, which costs 29.99, in Ebay before the sale and now Ebay is flooded by this cheap X-files boxset.

Why can`t some of those bast**ds just keep their hands off and let others have a chance ?

Did anyone see those X-files boxset in Ebay ?

I wouldn`t be surprised if the sellars of these disc`s were in some way connected to the source i.e. HMV Staff!
If you worked at HMV what would you do?
I hope some of them get found out.

That is so out of order, but not unexpected, I`m afraid.

Clayts,
I apologise for suggesting that some people may have taken advantage of the situation.
I apologise to all honest hard working loyal HMV staff.
I apologise to all forum users.
I am not very happy with this situation mainly because this is the first and only time, that a company has let me down in this manner.
I am of the old school of trusting companies to meet their promises.
I will be taking a break from the forum for a few days.
Hooray! I hear you all say. I will calm down and reflect on the whole sorry episode. I did not mean to offend any hard working loyal staff of HMV. I am merely pointing out the frustrations of dealing with machines now and all that it entails. The days of corner shops and chatting to staff and customers is long gone.

Visions of the TERMINATOR spring to mind.
Machines now rule the planet.

Perhaps I will sell my DVD Machine, as I spend so much time on this blooming forum I never get time to watch anything!

`I wouldn`t be surprised if the sellars (sic) of these disc`s (sic) were in some way connected to the source`. (spooky sh*t huh?!)
This thread is the funniest thing I`ve read all week and just confirms my long held suspicions about fans of this show.

oops - just to clarify as per the Guvnor

If anyone hung around outside HMV on Thursday in a queue, normally containing the following :

- man with dog on string selling `B`Issue` - no threat
- small child playing with ball of string - big threat (I paid him GOOD money, I tells ya)
- rather cute looking woman, with ring on finger and with mobile glued to left ear - big threat (that`ll be the wifey of a DVD Forum member then)
- old man with small leaflets in left hand whispering that `Christ forgives you` - no threat
- man with trainers on, pumping his pecs, pushing air out of lips with a "Pherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" and checking mobile, portable PC, Teletext and the weather forecast - big threat

So, HMV `operative` opens the door - who wins ?

Answer : no-one.

Why : erm, switched on guys like you and me who actually rang the store up the day before and reserved a copy : never mind the e-mail...as soon as those guys realised that you were as mad about the X-F as they were you only had to mention the `Lone Gunmen` and their eyes lit up.

Shame they`d run out when I rang....

Cheers to My Man who got a spare copy and sold it at the right price to me - star performer.

HMV staff getting the deal ? No way, hose - just switched on peeps who knew the score and prevented the 6 P`s occurring. I wasn`t one of them, sadly...
