Britannia DVD

Is anyone out there a member of the Britannia DVD club?
You know, the place where you get 4 for the price of 1 then have to buy 6 over 2 years.
Are they much cop?
Are the prices after your initial `carrot` really cheap?
Anyone got any thoughts?

I used to be a member of the Britannia Music club, which offers a similar deal. The initial `carrot` is great, but I found that all subsequent releases in their magazine were priced at Virgin high street prices and postage and packing was an additional £2.99 per item on top of that.
My advice would be to approach this sort of club with care: you`ll find a far wider choice and far better deals on the web.

I echo Pertwee`s sentiments entirely.

I`m stuck with Britannia for another year and I`ve somehow gotta find three to buy from their extortionate prices. In the old days you could buy any old rubbish (CDs, cassettes, VHS etc) but now these cheap bargains of days gone by are now all marked up as `bonus` prices, which don`t count towards your entitlement.

Therefore, I`m gonna have to spend at least £40-£50 on CDs just to fulfil the commitment, and then I`m free of them. Got my DVD player before I got internet access - never looked back since I went online, but this archaic reminder of the bad old days (CDs for £14.99, DVDs for £19.99 PLUS extortionate postage) are still there for me every month.

Stick to online bargains is my advice.
