Page 1 of Sopranos series one complete box set -£32

Just to let you guys know i was able to order the sopranos series 1 box set all in for £32 from www.dvdcrave.com.

Yeah - pretty good but I`ve been hunting the web for that so...
Don`t forget the p&p from dvdcrave for box sets will be another $27Aus bringing it up to the same price as ezyDVD - about £40 - still very good value.
BUT it`s the R4 version (same as R2) which is only 2.0 stereo sound and pan&scan.
The R1 version is on 4 discs (rather than 6) has the same extras but comes with 5.5 digital sound and widescreen... Price £54 from Video-Now or DVDBoxoffice. Worth the extra dosh - dunno?

The weird thing is at ezydvd they advertise the boxset as region 1 and show the r1 box set but the ad says its region 4.I have contacted them to find out which version they actually have-i need to know by tomorrow so i can cancel my existing order.

Incidentally the whole charge from dvdcrave including p&p and insurance came to $96 austrailian dollars-£34 -i would however get the region 1 if i could.

The reason it was so cheap from dvdcrave was bacause they took off 9%from the fixed price as international orders dont pay g.s.t.

Damn reasonable but admittedly not as good as region1

Anyone got this set? Which one?

Well i thought long and hard and weighed up all the pros and cons b4 ordering.The region 1 is real wide screen and the r4 is pan and scan and the r1 does come with a david chase commentry on the pilot episode and there is 5.1 available on the r1.But i didnt feel it warranted an extra £20 as i have 3 volumes of the second series(r4)and the quality is very good.
Generally i would always order r1 but like i said £20 is £20.

Yeah, thanks xeno, l know what you mean. lts not just £20, its the fact that its 60% more for those extras! And havent R4 got better snap boxes rather than the crap cardboard ones?

was £32 the total you paid for it? lncluding p&p, any import tax?

Just got an email 10 mins ago from them with total costs on it and it worked out at £35 -so an extra 3 quid more than expected(but i opted for insurance on the package which was a few quid) but still a significant saving and from a company that will go out of its way for its customers.When i had probs ordering with their site-they rang me straight away(from oz) and sorted it for me.

I agree 60% is way too much for the extras so my advice is grab it from dvdcrave and save a bit if cash.

There is a new dvd e-tailer out of Australia with some pretty good pricing at www.fbo.com.au

Sopranos box set is a few dollars cheaper and there overseas freight is also cheaper than most.
Hope this helps save a few more pennies

The Boxset is £24.99 in the Tesco`s just off the A406 (near docklands)... they had two boxsets when I went in yesterday...

Nice price -over here(northern ireland) tescos are selling it for £59.99
