4 Room Booster with Surge and IR - £8.99

At Argos - in-store only but can be reserved (been around for a while but I forgot about posting it till today as I have just installed the one which I got a couple of weeks ago).
Mains powered signal booster to improve weak TV/FM reception.
Also allows you to distribute video, satellite, digital and cable programmes in up to 4 other rooms. Infrared return path.
Useful for anyone who wants to put in a distibuted TV system , especially with Sky Digital as it works with the `Magic Eyes`.
I have installed one of these myself and connected up with a couple of magic eyes which I got from Ebay at about a fiver each and now have the Sky Digital facility with full remote control in two bedrooms as well as the living room.

Also 2 room booster at £7.49

No sooner said than done. :)
Here is a link to the magic on sale at Argos for £14.99, but the same item can be had from this Ebay seller for £4.99 plus £2.40 p&p.
Note, this is not a recommendation for this particular seller, just an example. Do a search on Ebay for Magic Eye and you will find plenty at various prices, auctions or Buy-It-Nows.

Sorry for highjacking this thread. I bought one of these boosters a few weeks ago to replace the single booster that took TV and sky through to the kitchen. I now run 3 sets off this box, living room, kitchen and conservatory. I am having a problem passing through the signal from my JVC DVD recorder (DRM1) to the TV sets in the kitchen and conservatory. I receive Sky and TV from the outside aerial okay but not DVD. I have connected the aerial into the DVD recorders RF in, RF out into the Sky box (Pace) RF in, then the RF out is linked back into the booster. The TV set in the living room is then connected from the second RF out on the Skk box. Does anyone have any idea why I cannot receive a DVD signal.

Hi,
Unfortunately the dvd recorder does not provide an RF output of it`s own, it`s only a loop through for the aerial signal. It has to be connected by composite video (ie scart lead) to a tv.

Many thanks to OP for this - I`ve been looking for an extra booster for the second telly - this one looks better than the one on my main TV set! :)

Looks interesting... but does this spread to 4 rooms by acting as a splitter so I would need coaxial cable all over the house?

Just reserved one to replace a 2 way booster , does anyone know if this has variable gain or is it just fixed ?
