There appears to be an awful lot of disgruntled amazon.com customers about the Region 1 release of the Buck Rogers set - see:

The amazon.co.uk box set is, of course, Region 2, so maybe they`ve fixed this problem, but no-one`s reviewed it on amazon.co.uk that`s actually got the box set (why do idiots go onto Amazon and post a review *before* its release?!). So has anyone got the R2 Buck Rogers Season 1 set and, if so, is it OK? It comes on 6 discs, whereas the R1 is 5 discs (there`s a similar discrepancy between R1 and R2 Battlestar Galactica box sets) - so what`s the diff between R1 and R2 Buck Rogers?

The big difference I guess would be that the R1 Boxset contains Season 1 and 2 where as the R2 Boxset only contains Season 1.

Also, if the R1 set is anything like the R1 Battlestar Galactica set then half the discs will be double sided dual layered discs, maybe this accounts for the problems as double sided dual layered discs arent as easy to produce as standard DVD9 discs and as the R2 set will all be standard DVD9 discs, hopefully there shouldnt be any problems.
