Hi guys...one last website loophole heads-up before I head off for a week...

Virgin Megastores are currently offering a deal where you can buy 5 CDs for £30. "So what?, they do this every year" I hear you say...

Well, the way this works is that you are supposed to choose from a set list of CDs worth £9.99 on their own and they then apply a £19.99 discount to the set. However, it seems to work on any items to the value of £49.95 or more. So if you spend £49.95, you get £19.99 back, which works out as a 40% discount on ANY £50 purchase instore. I feel an early Christmas purchase coming on...

The discount code to quote at the checkout is 2004CDDVD5430.

Nice one - free delivery as well this week

This has worked for a while on Virgin x for x offers but am unsure as to the legitimacy of using the code on any purchase. Anyway it worked on my 24 S3 purchase a couple of months ago.

I suppose they can only reject it!

Can`t you track your order status online?

Just a quick warning for anyone looking to order, they have charged me full price for my order even though I received the e-mail stating the discounted price. So if you have on-line banking check your account to see how much has been debited.

Just checked with my credit card and it was fine, only charged the discounted amount. Cheers RM!

Nina - are you getting a refund?

duder I'm not sure yet, their T&C's are a bit misleading, they state about having a legally binding contract from the e-mail so I think I shall wait and se what their next move is before I e-mail their customer services and see what they have to say for themselves. If not, then yes I will cancel the order. (You can read more on the MSE forum) not just me it has happened to. :(

Nina - just checked, been charged the discounted amount. Hope you get yours sorted out.
