Page 1 of Samsung Digimax 3MP, 3x optical zoom - only £81

...and before the dust has settled on the Dell fiasco...

Not sure exactly how much of a bargain this is as I cannot find this camera listed (not even on Samsung`s camera site) - I suspect it`s just an exclusive version of an existing model.

Anyway, Boots are offering the Samsung Digimax 3100 (3MP, 3x optical zoom) for only £89.99 with a £30 purchase until 01 November. They claim it`s half price but I`m certain that a similar spec wouldn`t cost you £180 elsewhere. However, I`m also certain that it won`t cost you as little as £90 either - to my mind, this is a very good price for such a camera (Samsung are very underrated as a digicam manufacturer - they`re certainly very good for the money).

However, it seems they currently charge you this price regardless of what additional purchases you make.

Now for the added benefits:

However, If you`ve already purchased from Boots online before, or you prefer to collect advantage card points instead, you have an alternative offer available to you, either 1000 extra advantage card points (worth £10) with discount code WTGG46 or, if you spend just £10 more to bring the total spend to £100 you can increase the advantage card bonus to 2000 points (worth £20) by using discount code TTXG98. I would highly recommend spending the extra £10 as you effectively get an additional £10 back in advantage card points for doing this, thus making the extra purchase effectively free.

Remember...this deal doesn`t seem contingent upon an additional purchase despite the Boots website stipulating that it is, so it is entirely possible that they might renege on this deal when they find out that they`ve made a mistake. Shame they didn`t make teh same mistake with teh Panasonic DVD deal 1-2 weeks ago.

It looks like it`s very similar to the Digimax 370,the going rate for that is £120+ .
I couldn`t find any reviews in the usual places but the spec looks very good and Samsung brand is well respected.
Plus you get a free case in the Boots deal.

I`ve noticed that you don`t seem to get a memory card with this deal (at least it`s not mentioned) - anyway, even if it had come with a memory card it would have been so small that you`d be needing a much larger memory card to use with your new camera anyway.
