Looks to be a good buy if it is in fact available as advertised in any of the stores (out of stock on website). It`s currently £149.99 at Amazon and seems to be in the region of £200 (rrp) at most of the other online shops.

You beat me to it (posting the offer) - just been passed Toys `R` Us saw the poster with the offer and I`m now £99.00 lighter!

Very pleased with it - east set-up - easy to operate. And with SVP doing the 99p shipping thingy this weekend I`ve just ordered the 256 memory stick :D

Lots of other deals at Toys `R` Us including portable DVD player at £99.00.

If it`s anything like as good as the canon powershot A60 (same price and spec, I`d better credit Gary again :D) I bought several months ago then it sure is a bargain. I`ve used some of the pictures I`ve taken for my desktop wallpaper and the detail and colour`s fantastic.

A big thank you to Partridge for the original post - sold out in Basingstoke but luckily there seemed to be an ample amount at the Woking outlet. Roy Keane eh - not bad - not bad at all. Keep up the good work guys. The camera is very easy to use in comparison to the Nikon coolpix I shelled out for 3 years ago. It was a great camera but a bit fiddly in comparison to the Sony.

I tried the above link for the 256mb memory stick from SVP - it warns that I should check with the manufacturer for compatability. Has anyone tried these yet - is there a problem with compatability?

Thanks for posting this. I got mine at the Lakeside store in Essex. The sales bod who sold me mine just couldn`t understand why they had sold 4 of them in less than an hour.
