Makro Stores

Now before anyone says anything, i`m aware that Makro stores are wholesale only, but if your lucky enough to have a card, or know someone who has, there are some good bargains to be had. At £7.99 + Vat (£9.40 to you and me), you can pick up The Mask, Tombstone, Blade and I picked up that DVD of "The Temptations", nearly 3 hours long, it`s a biopic originally broadcast on U.S. TV over 4 hours as a series. If you like their music it`s pretty interesting. I also picked up today Jaws and Jurassic park at £9.99 + vat each (£11.75). Why not give them a try. Oh, they`ve also got Austin Powers 2 at £7.99 + vat.

when I last check at Makro I found them more expensive than getting the DVD in some shops, glad to see they have come down a bit now, when I go back home this weekend I will try and hop down there than and have a look myself. :-) (and if have good dvd selection will take up my dad offer of having an additional card for myself, and hence can use it in Cardiff) :-)

Ok hold on, so you picked up some films that were under a tenner each. Do you realise most the films they are selling are distrubuted by `entertainment in video`, nearly all high street shops have had their dvd`s for £9.99 etc. Its because ent in vid do crap quality dvd`s and u cant skip the blue screen warning at the begining.

All the movies i`ve picked up are The Temptations, Blade, Dune (Not the T.V. version), The Mask and Tombstone. All at £7.99 + Vat! Also they have 10 current big sellers at £9.99 + vat, of which I bought Jaws and Jurassic Park. The whole point about Makro is that a lot of their stuff will not be any cheaper than retail. But they publish fliers every 3 weeks, and you then have to be selective.
By the way, life must be extremely difficult if you find it hard to sit through a short warning. Whatever would you do in a real dilemma? (You`d be no good in a nuclear war!)
You pays your money and you make your choices.
By the way, as it`s wholesale, to get a card you either have to be in some sort of business, or know someone who is.

Entertainment in Video DVD`s are not crap. Have u seen Final Destination? Austin Powers 2? Frequency? These are all dvds with an excellent crisp clear picture. Fair enough their videos are a piece of s***. From the first time u watch them, you think wait a minute is this second hand?

I agree, dicanio. Blade and American History X are EIV releases and the pictures/sound are superb - not bad for a tenner apiece. Okay, they might not be loaded with extras, but hey - 10 notes...
