Cheap Epson R200!! - Offer Ends Tuesday!
Epson R200 at PC World for £69.99 or £49.99 when bought with ANY digital camera!
Great printer and prints directly on to CD/DVD`s with injet printable coating ( or stick label on disc and then print)
I have the R300 ( same printer but has card reader) so I know its good - and yes I do work there!

R300 is miles better than a 200, as it has an integral tray for CD loading, and not the "A4" plastic one.
Also the R300 has seperate carts with the ability to take matt blacks, but you probs knew that already ;)
Still a good printer, the 200 though....

Sorry Jimbo but i think you`re getting the R200 confused cos it takes six separate ink tanks and has a direct cd/dvd loading tray. As originally stated the R200 is the same printer as the R300 but without the card reader.
I was lucky to get mine for £59 from PC world about six weeks ago before they changed the price again and i can assure you having printed my 25th dvd last night that this is a top notch printer. With replacement carts now available for around £12 a set delivered, it`s good value too.

They musta changed from the original then, `cause the 200`s I saw were the same as the Photo 900 series and came with "complete" colour ink tanks (all in one kinda thing...suppose they still could have been bought seperately....doesn`t explain the CD tray though!)
The CD tray`s on the 200`s I saw were the A4 plastic ones, with a CD space in them.
The only thing I hate about my 900 printing CD`s is the Epson PrintCD proggy doesn`t do full face. And I can`t be bothered working it out to print as an A4 word document <grin>
Still a damned good printer though....(all 3 that is! Lol)

I`ve got the Epson Photo 900 and the supplied software does print full face CDs.
You just edit the inner and outer diameter icon. Outer Diameter for a CD is 119 for Riteks or 120 for Verbatim. Just set the inner diameter right down to whatever is applicable.
Is it worth upgrading to the R200/300 from the Photo 900?

"full face" doesnt have an inner diameter, hence the term "full" face.
The discs you`re referring to (and the type I tend to try to stick to until someone hacks the software! Lol) are the type with the little clear plastic bit around the centre.
(Oh, and look like I was mixing the 200 up with another printer so I stand corrected <grin>)
I think it`d be worth upgrading just for the integral tray alone, but be warned: if you refill your 900 carts, the Epson singles are much much harder to do!

Jimbo - I am talking about full face discs. They DO have an inner diameter - i.e. the hole in the middle. I`ve printed loads without problems - the printed surface goes right to the centre hole (which doesn`t have a clear plastic surround.
Are you talking about printing a disc without a hole in the middle?

Nopre, not without a hole in the middle, but at 119 to 120 mm thats a helluva big hole in your discs ;)
The centre hole is only around 5mm to 10mm wide, so you got a way to print that far into your discs?
