News on Poundland DVD`s has been scant of late,
They have been re-issueing most of those Discs we , well some of us, brought at £1

However the reasion for this posting is another bunch of Discs which have 3 films on one disc, all are B/W. Here are the Discs they had in Croydon Today :

Texas Terror. John Wayne.
Hell Town. John Wayne

CE 006

Behave Yourself. Shelly Winters.
Home Town Story. Marilyn Monroe.

CE 013
Our Town William Holden.
The Star Packer. John Wayne.

the best for last-

a word of warning none of these movies have chapter marks.

If I buy any more early John Wayne films my dad has threatened to make me sit & watch them with him (they make him cringe & he recalls them the first time around).

I`ve sat through about 12 of these early John Wayne westerns myself. They are quite addictive but very similar plotwise. Always good to see George "Gabby" Hayes in these films plus Yakima Canutt does some great stunts and usually plays the villain as well.. The horseriding is always really impressive and pretty dangerous looking and the fist fights are just like the brawls you see on a Sat night in any town centre - no real choreography just grappling, kicking and wild punches everywhere.
