Alternative to Wanadoo 17.99 Broadband!

ETD (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 26th June 2004, 23:25

Just discovered this: www.netvigator.co.uk

It`s wireless broadband at £18 per month (1st month free!) for 512kbs. As opposed to Wanadoo there`s no download restrictions! Unfortunately it`s only available in selected areas at the moment so you might wanna check the website for more information. I`m thinking about getting this within a few days so I`ll get back to you on how I get on. :D

I am yet to notice any restriction on my Wannado service, and so far, have found it excellent. 8)

The light service has a limit of 1Gb/month (as with many others - let`s face it, ISP`s are tied by the BT wholesale tarrifs).

Wireless broadband has been tried before but there were problems. You need to be within line of sight with the transmitter / receiver for it to work.

www.adslguide.org.uk is probably the best source of broadband info for the UK.
