Hi guys, thought I`d let people know bout this bargain, I work in the swansea store and seriously cannot believe the bargain in wednesdays makro mail. They have a BUSH 28`` tv for £139.99 which in my opinion is a huge bargain. They had around 70 of these beauties in our store but they are bound to sell out really quickly for that price I don`t think I`ve ever seen them for that price second hand! If only I didnt have a w/s tv already!!

That`s plus Vat though isn`t it? So that makes it £165.00.

Index have a really nice looking 28 widescreen for £185.00 and skybuy have them for £150 plus postage.

The Makro one is still cheap but most people won`t have a card or will have to drive miles to find a store.

I had another look at the (Beko) one in Index today and it is a lovely looking telly for £189.00 - it has a very flat screen for this money and is well worth checking out.
It is not the same as the one in the catalogue, must be a newer model.

I bought a Bush 28" wideacreen from Makro 30 months ago. Whilst the picture and sound are acceptable for the price, the build quality of the innards is dire. Mine died after 13 months :( and after a bit of hassle I persuaded them to repair it free of charge :) . Unfortunately the death proved permanent ;) and after bit more hassle I persuaded them to provide a free replacement, albeit a reconditioned model (amazing what the Sale of Goods Act can do for you :) ).

Even more unfortunately the replacement is now showing signs of the same terminal disease that the last one had >:( .

What I have I learnt from this? You get what you pay for. I wouldn`t go for a Bush again, not even at £165. To be honest I wouldn`t risk Beko, or Goodmans or any of the other cheap rebadged imports.

You may not be lucky, but I would keep an eye on the skybuy site as they have some colossal bargains on there from time to time.

Just seen my m8 during lunchbreak whose just come back from Makro (Swansea) and bought himself a 43" projector TV for £549 + VAT (Total £646). He had been looking at one (42") for £900. He couldn`t tell me what make it was but he`s happy enough. He mentioned other cheap TVs going like hotcakes.
