Free Motorola A835 - 500 minutes any time/any network - £12.50 pm on "3"

This £12.50 per month deal is all over the place at the present but A1 Comms, a reputable East Midlands mobile shop, are offering it for 12months.

Totally free to sign up - offer ends 31 Mar 04 :)

The phone has had a rave review at 3g.co.uk.

If the 3 network disappears, it automatically ports onto O2, so you always have voice calls.

And is there any charge for calls made on the roaming network - as, for example, when you take an O2 phone to the Isle of Man?

no,this phone cant be unlocked! but jesus! why do you want to use another more expensive networks sim in the phone? the no of people who look a gift horse in the mouth is incredible! do your sums= 1 phone with incredible technology FREE
500 minutes to any network for 12.50 per month, its a brilliant deal! forget all the negative whinging minnies harping on about 3g saying its crap! take advantage of this offer, you still have 14 days peace of mind guarantee. we have 2 of these phones here from this a1 comms site couldnt resist the offer.perfect for us to keep in touch with our daughter in london down here on the south coast. the downloads ie. content such as music videos or clips of movies has to be seen to be believed! it has 64mb of memory onboard you can record videos up to 3 minutes long, u can transfer mp3s from your pc to the phone and the sound is excellent and even has decent phones included, it even has bluetooth etc. this phone and other 3g phones even have their own websites with forums to help u get the most out of it like how to convert movies to play on the phone which some people have done to great effect.but the real killer app with something like this is when you actually make a video call and see the other person on your screen in living colour when they are actually hundreds of miles away. its brilliant.but i do like the look of the new nec 616 which is a lot sleeker but is not on the same offer!cheers 8)

Great deal

but the phones do need charging often - if you`re used to a 240hr plus time, then these need charging twice a week or more ;)

I bought the phone from A1 Comms on tuesday, arrived Friday due to the enormous amount of people going for these deals! Charged the phone overnight for 17 hours and started playing on Saturday. Nothing wrong with the phone (nice piece of kit) or A1 Comms. The only thing that concerns me is that if you live on the border of O2 or 3 you`ll find that it will go onto the O2 network but then try to connect to 3 for 5 minutes, often resulting in no signal even if the phone is stationary! Well worth getting though, superb deal!

Hi

I am very interested in this, just for the 500 free mins? but would rather keep my existing Nokia rather than carry around a phone that is twice the weight to accommodate a raft of features that I will not use

question is, can the 3 SIM be used in a non 3G phone such as my unlocked Nokia 5100?

In my family we have four contracts with three for sometime now and have no complaints. We are all on 750 minutes and cannot fault the service, we have had no problems over the 9 months we have had these contracts. We have also saved money on our land line using our 750 minutes allowance and our cellphone costs year on year are approx. been reduced by 40% vs o2. You can save money if you think about it, and as I said we have had no problems with any of the services.
