Yes they are we have bought one. Great sound out of speakers with DVD
However, can not find a code to make it multi region.

I`ve found a few Technosonic hacks, but have no idea if they will be any good to you without the model number (smiths website don`t have any details either).

I`ve found a hack that works.

Don`t put a DVD in,
Press SETUP
Press NEXT >>
Press PREV <<
Press NEXT >>
Press PREV <<

You should now see a 2 in the top right hand corner, now

Press the left or right buttons untill the number 255 appears then

PRESS SETUP.

I visited my 2 local WHSMITHS stores who had sold out. I was wanting to look at one to see whether it has phono audio inputs so i can plug in my Telewest Cable box? Whilst im on the subject of cable tv, can anyone reccomend a good video sender so i can watch cable in another room?

I decided to but one of these. To answer my own question it has got an AV1 so i can plug my cable box in and get the sound through the speakers. The only problem ive got is trying to get into the video set up to change it to a scart connection for DVDs. The writing on screen has ghosting so im presuming its set to something different. For some reason the video option isnt appearing.
Anybody know what im doing wrong?
