Virgin DVD Sale.....

Butterfield8 (Elite) posted this on Monday, 5th January 2004, 11:57

Hi all, a Happy New Year to you.

Just thought I`d pop this on here:

Went into Virgin Kingston yesterday to check out their DVD sale...I got:

American Werewolf (Anniversary 2 disk-er)
I Spit on Your Grave
Blade 1
Blade 2
Total Recall
Human Traffic (Remixed)

and one other that I can`t remember now!

All of the discs were decent Widescreen and full 5.1 etc but each one set me back £5.99!!!

Add to these:

Romeo Must Die
xXx
and Minority Report

That I picked up from Blockbusters @ £5.99 each the other night and I`m a very happy boy :D :D

Now, I`m sure that there`ll be a load of "you`re stupid - you could have got them from here for £2" or similar - but I personally think that this is the best set of bargain buy I`ve made in some time!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY 8)

American Werewolf (Anniversary 2 disk-er) a classic assuming it is in London

I Spit on your Grave - seen the uncut version in the early 80`s, I still cringe at that bath scene. :o

If your happy with the price thats all that matters !!

They also have The Mission special edition. Marked up as £8.99 but at the till I was told it was maked up incorrectly and correct price is £7.99.

I went into the Virgin store in Farnborough yesterday, no 2 disc version of American werewolf and the single disc one was £7.99!!
They didn`t even have the 2 disc version, why can`t these retailers offer the same deals countrywide?

That`s gutting! I did mean "In London".........must admit to quite liking "in Paris" but not enough to own it - I`ll just catch it when they start re-running it on Sky.

I have yet to watch I Spit but there are already 5 people I work with who want to borrow it - we are an office full of sickos I think! The only problem with it is that it`s marked "UK 18" which probably means they`ll have cut the bath scene and no doubt a load more.

Damn the BBFC - why can`t they understand that I`m 28 and I`ve only killed one or two people as a direct result of watching violence and gore on my screen....? :p
