Page 1 of Super cheap box set of war movies

Just been to WH Smith`s in the Trafford Centre and picked up a boxset of five DVD`s for only £14.99.
Contains Apocalypse Now Redux, Platoon, We were soldiers, Black Hawk Down (2disc) and Saving Private Ryan.
Lots left on the shelves......
Seems a good deal to me.
I suppose it may also be available online, but I`ve not checked.

I can`t see a link to it on their web site either.
It`s a WH Smith exclusive though, `cos it`s got their logo printed on the slip case.
The box set is titled "Amazing War Movies".
You could try your local store I suppose.
The customer relations department phone number is printed on the slip case. It`s 0870 444 6444.
The bar code number is 0 000030 136359.
Don`t know what else I can tell you.

just been to whsmith ,grays,essex and picked up this bargain.also had a 5 disk action film boxset(can only remember training day at the mo) that was also £14.99 but my funds are sooooooooo limited this week , i had to pass. but thnx to Spen for original post...£40 boxset for £14.99...luverly

Picked one up at Newport today priced £39.99 scanned £14.99 - nice spot Spen ;) I allready had Black hawk down and Apocalypse but they will be ok for birthday pressies or something .

further to my previous post....woke up and decided that at £3 a disk it was worth putting them on credit card and returned to whsmith grays, picked up

Picked up the war movies boxset at WHSmiths Worthing - priced at £29.99, scanned at £14.99. Had just been given We Were Soldiers for crimbo so returned that for a refund of £7.99 = 4 films effectively cost me £7!

war movies are crud....no wonder there is as much violence these days..

This is a forum for bargains! (that exist). The reported headline in this case seems like a bargain. Wish they had them in my Smiths but sadly not.
