RE: game.net 24 hr bargain clearance

Thanks to the OP...

Just got F.E.A.R for PC @ £19.99 - not bad...

It`s a shame I won`t be able to scare myself s**tless tonite!!

Cheers Pete :)

RE: Is this laptop a bargain?

To be honest mate, even though it is PC World, I`ll stick my neck out and say `thats not too bad at all...`. It`s not going to be Bargain of the Year but for a reasonably able laptop at a resaonable price what more can you ask? especially when you can pick it up locally..

I`m not a big fan of the DSG, but if the spec fits buy it. With Toshiba you can`t go too far wrong can you?

Now I`m expecting a few people to jump on back, please form an orderly queue...

RE: In store sale at Game

That is the place... but I think the offer (4xpre-owned for 1 new chart game) is in-store only.

Have a look at http://www.mvc.co.uk/mvc/content/storelocator.jhtml to see whether you have one nearby.

I`ve taken to going into Game buying 4xpreowned (which are buy 1 get 1 half price `stickered products`) then trading there and then under their noses. Can save at least a tenner on their standard prices every time!!

Good luck!

Yes, it is on a minimum 12 month contract, but thats still a £60 saving on what you have now and are getting more service!!

Regards

Pete

RE: anyone know of any hotel offers or cheap hotels in cardiff?

www.laterooms.com is always a reasonable place to start...

Have fun!

RE: 24 Seasons 1, 2, 3 (£17.99 each)

To be honest, I`ve missed most of them, hence having to buy this. It`s excellent, all my work colleagues and mates have been raving about it.

And that price helps too!

Pete

RE: 24 Seasons 1, 2, 3 (£17.99 each)

Thanks Duder... All three on order!!

Couldn`t resist `The 4400` at the same time - £15.99 - Very nice...

Time to go cut up my credit cards >:(

:)

RE: 24 Seasons 1, 2, 3 (£17.99 each)

Can anyone explain to me what the `Promotion Edition` is?

The other weird thing... they`re not released until 24/01/05 - I thought `24` had been available for a longtime...

Thanks,

Pete

RE: Diesel Mens Jeans for £13

Not bad at all!

Just ordered a pair... should arrive by Wednesday...

RE: call of duty united offensive £12.95 delevered

Has anyone used them before? are they any good?

Cheers

RE: call of duty united offensive £12.95 delevered

I may still be asleep but...

Who are mx2? and what`s their address?

Cheers

RE: Anger Management- today only- HMV deal of the day

Don`t get me wrong here, it`s a good price... but I had Anger Management from Plymouth store for £4.99 at the start of last week!

Are these supposed to be one day specials or not?? :o

Pete

RE: Free coffee maker (with 2 cups)

Thats not the one I recieved today...

Mine is a two spout electric filter jobbie - made by `Caffe Express` - couldn`t find a picture online except for ebay here ...

It`s not mine on ebay btw so no abuse please!!

I recieved the Hand Juicer instead of the Grill as well... bugger! ;)

Thanks to the poster!

RE: Verbatim Dvd+rw 4x Rewritable Media 4.7gb 10 for £1.10

You`re lucky, I refrained from posting a picture of me grinning :D inanely and pointing at a big pile of DVD+Rw`s... I thought it might be a step too far...

:p

RE: Verbatim Dvd+rw 4x Rewritable Media 4.7gb 10 for £1.10

Okay, I`ve decided... I`m going to be happy! :) :D :)

As the email suggested, despatched yesterday - arrived today. Five (10 pack) boxes of Verbatim DVD+RW 4x...

Grand total £10.63.

Bargain of the year?

Thanks Connor!

Pete

RE: Verbatim Dvd+rw 4x Rewritable Media 4.7gb 10 for £1.10

Well I`m confused.... (not that difficult I know... :/ )

I got the same as the rest of you guys, an email saying that `the price has dramatically increased` and that they would cancel the order as no payment was taken...

Today, I receive an email saying that my 5 boxes of dvd`s have shipped (giving a citylink consignment number) and upon checking my credit card see that £10.63 has been taken!

I think I should be happy, but we`ll see if they turn up!!

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast

It seems that most of their larger items are delivered thru Exel home delivery services - (01782 748758 ) - I`m waiting on a DVD Recorder... Give them a call, explain that you`re waiting on Sky and they`ll tell you whether they`ve seen your items.

Don`t forget, they aren`t related to Sky so don`t give them any grief!!

RE: Dumb and Dumber and Dumberer Box Set at Tescos

Of course it is available from www.tesco.com too at £16.99!!!! Using the VAT free code should get it down to the same price or less...

Pete

Dumb and Dumber and Dumberer Box Set at Tescos

Not a great price but certainly very reasonable for this `Limited Edition` box set...£14.87

Play.com, HMV etc all charging £19.99...

I`ve just had the one and only copy from Roborough, Plymouth, but I`m sure there will be many out there!

RE: Braun FreeGlider at Boots - Cheap! Plus 10%off or 1000 extra Advantage Points!

OK... Shaver is / was a bargain... anyone know where I can find the conditioning pack refill things cheap???

Seven pound something for four from Boots must be beatable!!

Thanks,

Pete

RE: Dells` Bargains - a few left!

Thanks Geo, it`s good to have the `heads up`...

Whilst the stock is all brand new, they don`t seem to treat it that way as someone else specced the kit... (and then cancelled their order... )

I`ve had one before and am pleased with it... lets keep the fingers crossed!... :D

Pete

Dells` Bargains - a few left!

Just ordered my second Dell machine from the Dell outlet www.dell.co.uk/outlet or just click here...

If you navigate through the reams of crap and head for the Dimension desktops shop, you may find a bargain.

Depending on what model you choose (2400, 4600, 8300) you can get £325, £425 or £550 respectively. PLUS there`s an extra 50 quid off for no apparent reason PLUS free delivery (which is about £45!! - don`t ask me why)

I`ve just ordered a P4 3.0Ghz, 1GB Ram, 120GB hard drive, 128mb ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, 8xDVD+RW, WinXP Home for £680+vat... That`s a £600.00 saving, free delivery and a LOT of machine!!

Offers close at midnight so get shopping...

Pete :)

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast

Now I`m sure everything will turn out alright... but hold on to your credit cards.... the website has just gone down `for maintenance`... :o

Pete

RE: 50% off at BBC Shop

Yep...

Make sure you don`t have any quotes or spaces in the voucher field...

Apart from that, make sure you have at least one full priced item...!

Pete

RE: 50% off at BBC Shop

Worked for me about ten minutes ago...

Thanks to everyone!

Pete :D

RE: Braun FreeGlider at Boots - Cheap! Plus 10%off or 1000 extra Advantage Points!

B*gger... missed out on those codes then... :( an extra £5.40 off would be a steal!

I knew I should have mentioned it to you lads and lasses before rolling into the shop...

Cheers

Clean-shaven Pete

Braun FreeGlider at Boots - Cheap!

Hi,

I`ve just found Braun`s FreeGlider (6680) Rechargable Shaver at Boots for half price!!

was: £108.99
now: £54.50!!!

It`s an excellent bit of kit, with skin conditioning packs and power level indicator etc etc...

Good news for all of us whose missus has pinched razors!

Pete

RE: Cheap 19"TFT - £351.32 inc VAT

I`ve got to agree with Sandy... I`m amazed - especially for the money! :D

I bought the AOC from www.pcnextday.co.uk and, with the exception of ordering on Sunday, arrived next day (tuesday)!! Service that can only be recommended!

Like Sandy, I haven`t tested the speakers myself... 2x2w is probably quite acceptable for the occasional Windows `beep` or `ker-ching` but I`ll stick to my Harman Kardon`s for DVD`s and gaming.

Three hundred and seventy quid... it may not be cheap, but this is certainly a bargain! 8)

Pete

RE: Cheap 19"TFT - £351.32 inc VAT

Thanks for all the advice... I`ll report back when it arrives on Tuesday!! :D :D

Anyone looking to buy a CRT??? :p ;)

Pete

RE: Cheap 19"TFT - £351.32 inc VAT

I`ve been seduced by the price of this, I didn`t know that 19`s were getting down to this area so I`ve dug around a bit...

This one is 12 quid more but has a 25ms response, DVI-D and a 4 port USB hub thrown in too.... is this worth my hard earned pennies?? :/

Thanks for any advice!
